The state of Connecticut is a Direct Access State. This means you do not need a referral from a physician to receive physical therapy treatment and do not require a prescription for treatment lasting up to 30 days. However, if your treatment continues beyond 30 days from the initial visit, YWHL will require a physician's signature or prescription on file. If you need assistance with this, we would be happy to provide a referral form for your primary physician to complete and return with a prescription.
Additionally, if we feel additional medical treatment or a medical examination should be provided, we may recommend that you see a physician.
Young Women Healthy Living, LLC will coordinate care with your current healthcare providers! The mission of Holistic care is to provide comprehensive care and holistic physical therapy is no different. From providing you a detailed listing of your treatment for you to share with your doctor to review your current medical treatments to ensure you receive the correct level of care, we would be honored to being a part of your healthcare team.
Masks are requested when they do not affect your health. For your attire, please wear the clothing that is most comfortable for you and appropriate.
Young Women Healthy Living, LLC does not accept insurance. This includes Medicare and Medicaid. We have chosen to not be a preferred provider for insurance companies and require payment at the time of service. By removing YWHL from any insurance companies’ preferred provider/contracted status program, our service is not limited by time or quality of treatment due to various insurance company restrictions. This allows us to remain patient/client-focused and keep our rates reasonable. We are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality care.
Young Women Healthy Living, LLC provides personalized care because of our ability to spend more time with our clients and less time on paperwork for insurance companies. This means a higher quality of service, customizable treatments, and fees that are based on our expertise, the time spent with you, and the treatments you receive during your appointment, not insurance fees.
Please note that you may be able to file this with your insurance company for out of network reimbursement after holistic physical therapy treatment. This is the sole responsibility of the patient. Young Women Healthy Living, LLC is happy to provide you, the client, an invoice that you, the client, can submit to the insurance company. YWHL makes no guarantees that the holistic services provided will be reimbursed by the insurance company.
Health and wellness coaching does not qualify for any reimbursement with your insurance. It is your responsibility to confirm coverage and reimbursement conditions.
Payment in full is due at the time of booking. We accept electronic payment via PayPal when booking your appointment through our online booking option. PayPal offers the option to pay via credit card as well. We accept HSA/FSA cards through direct invoicing. Please contact us prior to making your appointment for this option. YWHL will also accept cash, check, or Visa/MasterCard at the time of service for additional Physical Therapy appointments. Young Women Healthy Living, LLC is not contracted with any insurance companies. However, your payments may be reimbursable through your insurance company as an out of network physical therapy provider. If is your responsibility to confirm with your insurance company specific coverages and policy details. Young Women Healthy Living, LLC makes no guarantees regarding the reimbursement of any Young Women Healthy Living, LLC services by your insurance.
Young Women Healthy Living, LLC’s CANCELLATION/NO SHOW policy is:
Physical Therapy: A cancellation fee of $65 will be charged for all appointments cancelled with less than 24 business hours’ notice. You may reschedule your appointment. By contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Coaching: If the client needs to cancel or reschedule the appointment, the client must do so at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the client will forfeit that appointment and will not have an opportunity to reschedule it.
You can absolutely schedule your appointment online. Currently, we do not offer to reschedule online. Please reach out via email (email@example.com) or phone as soon as you know you need to reschedule. Please note that our cancellation/no show policy applies to rescheduling in less than 24 hours of the appointment.
